How Vera Escrow Protects You (A Simple Guide)
Vera is your trusted financial middleman. We hold the buyer's money safely in our vault until the item is physically delivered and inspected. If the item is good, the seller gets paid. If it is bad or fake, the buyer gets their money back. It’s that simple.
routeThe 6 Simple Steps to a Safe Deal
The Seller Lists an Item
A verified seller posts an item for sale. For their safety, their exact home or shop address is hidden from the public until a buyer actually secures the payment.
The Buyer Pays Vera (Not the Seller)
The buyer finds the item and clicks "Secure with Escrow". The buyer sends the payment directly to Vera. We lock this money safely in our vault. The seller does not have the money yet.
Meeting Details are Unlocked
Because Vera has safely locked the buyer's money, we now reveal the seller's exact pickup location to the buyer. The seller knows the buyer is serious, and the buyer knows their money is safe.
The Physical Inspection
The buyer and seller meet in person. The buyer takes their time to physically check the item to make sure it is exactly what was advertised.
Giving the Secret "Release Code"
If the buyer loves the item, they give the seller a secret 4-digit "Release Code" (which Vera gave to the buyer earlier). If the item is bad or fake, the buyer simply walks away with their code and gets a refund from Vera.
The Seller Gets Paid Instantly
The seller types the 4-digit Release Code into their Vera app. Instantly, Vera unlocks the vault and sends the money straight to the seller's wallet. The deal is completely finished!
